Rudra doesn't stand for anything. I honestly couldn't think of what to name the photoshop file when it came time to save it for the first time. Basically I decided a couple weeks ago that I would draw a brand new character, digitally illustrate him in full color, and then (hopefully) render him in 3D. Animation isn't even on the plate yet. I figured out why I tend to fail at creating new characters. Aside from the fact that I really only wear dickies/jeans and t-shirts, I also tend to focus on style over function. With MrBot, I created his latest form with functionality in mind. The CONE shape however...really has no significance...YET.
Anyways, I came up with an interesting backstory FIRST, then went on to design what he might need for said backstory. All he really needs now is a name. That I still have yet to decide. I won't go into the finer details but this is what I have so far:

There will be a strong light from the direction he is looking and there will be a canopy-like object above him which will cast some deep shadows. The lighting doesn't make sense in this image despite these facts. I really like where it's going and I hope I can BRING it to that place. The best part is, this is almost entirely "painted." I used very little tool-shading in here. I hope to finish this soon so I can move on to the 3D model. Then again, my new method of coloring has put me in the mood to illustrate some more. I have NO intention on working on the comic as it is about as dead as Starcraft: Ghost at the momment. Taking my time with single images is way more enjoyable/productive.
